Back to work...

I am back in full swing at work. This week's been busy. We are gearing up my husband for his first Ironman-we both registered for Lake Placid next year--he goes for a bike fitting on Sunday. We have one more trip to Cape Cod scheduled for August--our family with MIL and Pappy and SIL with her husband and daughter. It's a yearly thing we have been doing since we got married. Its a great time and nice little getaway right before school starts.

Now that I have some time...

Way back when--I don't even remember--Leah tagged me: I am supposed to list six random things about myself, so here it goes:

1. I color my hair

2. I am fully aware that "Kodiacbear" is spelled wrong (Kodiak bear, yah, I know. I got it). It's a long story. I like it this way. Its much simpler.

3. My first athletic love was, and has always been, fast pitch softball. I started when I was 8 years old--and played into college. Now, it just doesn't fit and my rotator cuff hurts too much :(

4. I have tried to quit coffee multiple times-and I just can't do it. Nope--it won't happen--yeah, I take it with light cream and extra sugar in it, too.

5. My parents died 11 yrs ago and I have 1 older sister and 1 older brother. I don't see them nearly enough--sometimes for years at a time--so now when I do, it's a big deal.

6. I crack my kid's toes. It's something my sister always did to me. Now I get to pass it on. Thanks, Con, I love you.

So there it is. Have at it.

Birthday Boy Has a Blast...

He turned Nine Years Old today...and it was a success. He planned a carnival type birthday--an idea he got from the National Geographic Kids magazine, he made the target for the pie throwing contest, a giant tick-tack toe game, an airplane contest and a new version of musical chairs with pictures. Then we had a GIANT slip and slide that was Loads of Fun!
